Life-Coaching
Deciding to specialise for me was a normal transition from where I was to where I wanted to be. I had all this life experience, including great wisdom and clarity of mind all at my fingertips. I have a great understanding of others and wanted to put all my skills and experience to good use by making a positive impact in helping those who sought to change their lives for the better.
In my own life I had been through several challenges and difficulties; so I was clear in my own mind I wanted to work with clients both in the here and now, and looking to the future. I knew from experience that by going continually over the past kept me stuck there; both emotionally and mentally.
I wanted to teach and coach others that there was another way, a better way; I knew Life-Coaching offered this, so the decision to open my own coaching practice was not a difficult one.
The mystery surrounding life coaching and what it is has frequently been talked about. So let me put it into perspective for you and clear up any misconceptions you may have.
Think of it this way, many of us have no qualms about working with a personal trainer at the gym to keep our bodies toned and fit. My job as a life coach is to help you get your life "fit." Ironing out all those lumps and bumps until you have a balanced, sucessful, happy life.
I personally went through the coaching process first before I finally made the commitment to change for myself. I wanted to see what was involved and make sure any training I had was of the highest standards and right for my clients.
