Relaxation
I have studied different methods over the last 20 years including meditation.
Meditation includes focusing on the breath and is a way of calming the mind, albeit very briefly in the beginning, but this gave me a glimpse of what was to come. A much needed break from the constant chatter of the mind.
This has evolved over many years and is now at a much deeper level. I meditate twice a day, every day, for thirty minutes each time, the benefits are enormous, including relief from stress.
This takes time and practice and I am not suggesting everyone would want to meditate the same way I do. So I work with those who want to give themselves a well earned break and talk them through some deep breathing exercises. I use this technique when someone wants to learn to be calmer, beginning with a short period of relaxation to soothing music.
